Terms of Service (Crawleo)

Last updated: December 15, 2025

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Crawleo's website, APIs, and related services (the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Crawleo on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and "you" refers to that entity.

1) The Services

Crawleo provides real-time web search and web crawling APIs and related tools that return content in formats such as raw HTML, cleaned/enhanced HTML, Markdown, and plain text. We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.

2) Eligibility

You must be able to form a legally binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Services. You may not use the Services if you are prohibited by applicable laws.

3) Accounts and API Keys

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • We may suspend or revoke API keys if we believe your account is compromised, used abusively, or violates these Terms.

4) Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellations

  • The Services are provided under subscription plans ("Subscriptions") unless otherwise stated in writing.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • Fees are charged in advance for each billing period; taxes may apply depending on your location.
  • Refunds (if any) are governed by our Refund Policy.

5) Usage Limits, Rate Limits, and Fair Use

Your plan may include usage limits, rate limits, or other restrictions. You agree not to circumvent or attempt to bypass these limits. If you exceed limits or degrade service stability, we may throttle requests, temporarily suspend access, or require plan changes.

6) Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Services responsibly and in compliance with all laws and third-party rights. You must NOT use the Services to:

  • Break any law or encourage illegal activity.
  • Violate the rights of others (privacy, intellectual property, contractual rights).
  • Collect, extract, or process sensitive personal data unlawfully (e.g., passwords, financial identifiers, medical data) or in a way that violates privacy laws.
  • Scrape or crawl websites in ways that violate the target site's terms, robots policies, or access controls where applicable.
  • Circumvent paywalls, authentication, security protections, anti-bot systems, or access restrictions in an unlawful or unauthorized way.
  • Distribute malware, run phishing/scams, perform credential stuffing, or conduct security attacks.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services (including by excessive load, abusive concurrency, or automated abuse patterns).
  • Use the Services for high-risk activities where failure could lead to harm (e.g., emergency response, medical diagnosis, weapons development, critical infrastructure control).

Sanctions and restricted use: You may not use the Services in violation of export controls or sanctions laws, or for the benefit of sanctioned persons or restricted territories as prohibited by applicable law.

7) Third-Party Content and Websites

The Services may retrieve or return content from third-party websites. That content belongs to its respective owners, may be inaccurate, incomplete, removed, or changed at any time, and may be subject to third-party terms, licenses, and restrictions.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access and use any content you retrieve through Crawleo.

8) Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. As a core principle, we do not sell your personal information, we do not use your API traffic to train AI/ML models, and we do not keep a persistent usage history of your queries/URLs/content as a product feature (beyond minimal operational data needed for billing/security).

9) Intellectual Property

Crawleo and its software, documentation, branding, and related materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Services during your active subscription.

You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer (except where permitted by law), or abuse the Services.

10) Feedback

If you provide suggestions or feedback, you grant us the right to use it without restriction or compensation (we will not claim ownership of your confidential business data).

11) Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." We do not guarantee that results will be accurate, complete, or up-to-date, that specific websites will be accessible, or that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free. Web data is inherently dynamic and dependent on third-party websites and networks.

12) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: Crawleo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Crawleo's total liability for any claim related to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to Crawleo for the Services in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim.

13) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Crawleo harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, or content you retrieve, store, publish, or distribute using the Services.

14) Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you violate these Terms, your use creates risk or legal exposure for Crawleo, you attempt to disrupt or abuse the Services, or where required by law.

You may stop using the Services at any time and cancel your subscription according to your account settings.

15) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the "Last updated" date and may provide notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

16) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
